Aishling Callanan, a junior at Peninsula High in California, took third in the girls varsity 3-mile race at the Bay League championship meet at Redondo Union High. Callanan clocked 17:09.7, as Peninsula was fourth overall, advancing to the CIF-Southern Section Division 2 prelims Nov. 12 at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
